MOONWALK™ Wins Bodyshop Magazine’s Technology and Innovation Award 2020
PPG is “over the moon” to announce our proprietary automated paint mixing system MOONWALK™ has won Bodyshop Magazine’s Technology and Innovation Award for 2020.
Launched in 2019 after an intensive three-year development cycle, our MoonWalk innovation represents a historic moment in the refinish industry, revolutionizing how collision repair centers operate and generating value from color mixing operations.
Hosted virtually, MoonWalk scooped the Technology and Innovation Award at the Bodyshop Awards after being judged by a panel of 15 judges against three other finalists:
- AGM Services – Polymat
- Opus IVS – DriveSafe
- Volkswagen Group UK – Project Simplification

Paint technicians and bodyshop managers in Europe who have yet to experience the benefits of using MoonWalk’s highly precise read-to-spray dispensing solution will get to opportunity to do so with the launch of PPG’s fleet of MoonWalk Vans. The seven vans containing the award-winning MoonWalk system will be driven across Europe by PPG experts, to deliver demonstrations straight to the locations of our customers and prospects.
