Executives from PPG, Danaher Corporation and X-Rite Inc. met in Pittsburgh, Monday February 4th, 2019, to celebrate the successful launch of new RapidMatch® spectrophotometers and to discuss the future digitization of color identification and innovation.
PPG is the world leader in the digitization of color identification in the automotive refinish industry focusing on improving color accuracy, ease of use and quality as well as driving improvements in productivity and profitability for its customers.
X-Rite Inc., a key business within Danaher Corporation, is the world’s leading supplier of color measurement and management solutions. PPG and X-Rite have partnered for over 25 years bringing innovative color identification and matching solutions to refinish customers worldwide.
In the last two years, with the support of X-Rite, PPG has launched two new spectrophotometers which take digital color identification to the next level. The RapidMatch® XI spectro with its 11-angles of spectral measurement, color camera and a host of advanced features is the most sophisticated customer spectrophotometer in the industry. When teamed with PPG’s proprietary, next generation PaintManager® XI color software, the RapidMatch® XI and GO spectrophotometers are a powerful combination delivering improvements in color accuracy and quality, productivity and profitability for PPG customers worldwide.
“PPG is committed to bringing innovative, digital solutions like the new RapidMatch® spectrophotometers to market which help customers improve quality and customer satisfaction, and which help our customers win in a competitive market”, said Gary Danowski, PPG Global Vice President Automotive Refinish.
